Since 1966, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Tustin has been in the forefront of youth development, working with young people from all backgrounds, including those from disadvantaged economic, social, and family circumstances. Our overall mission is to inspire and empower all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as healthy, productive, caring, and responsible citizens.
We focus on three specific areas of impact: academic success, healthy lifestyles, and good character & citizenship development. As a facility-based Club, we are able to provide dedicated space, customizable learning environments, and specialized personnel in order to implement quality afterschool/out-of-school enrichment more effectively than school-based sites. This allows our organization to fulfill our focus with programming in five core areas: Character and Leadership Development; Education and Career Development; Health and Life Skills; The Fine Arts; and, Sports, Fitness & Recreation.
In 2014, our Club provided direct services to 1,139 individual youth at our main site. By collaborating with the City of Tustin, the Tustin Unified School District, and other community foundations, our organization was able to outreach to over 2,500 young people through various community and scholastic events.
